Well ... I'm finally back ...

It seems DA plays favorites. Surprise, surprise. For all those who loved Real First Kiss II, I am sad to say, it has, once again, been removed and I was suspended for a week for resubmitting it. The reason was "art theft". Now, OBVIOUSLY, I have made Snarry photomanips for fans to use for desktops. I do not deny that and am proud of them as well. HOWEVER, Real First Kiss II was NOT a photomanip. I sent a note to the help desk and explained that, no, this is not art theft. I created this image, all by hand, on my WACOM tablet. I had a previous photomanip that I used as a visual reference only, but the actual final product of Real First Kiss II was entirely mine, no cut and paste images were in it at all. It took quite some time to finish it and I was very proud of it. A person from DA help desk responded right away and said it looked too real and like one of the photos, so they took it down, then proceeded to tell me, again, the art theft rules. I replied to that reply, pointing out a DAILY DEVIATION of Jack Sparrow that looked incredibly real and that could have easily been done up just as they accused my image of being. I have not received a reply. That was a week ago.

So, after all that, this is what I have walked away with: 1.) It, obviously, isn't worth it to post anything I do exceptionally well and am proud of here on DA, as what I've been striving for - to improve my portrait drawing skills and bring to life two characters I adore - will be pulled. 2.) That there is, without a doubt, bias within the moderators of this site. 3.) That no one reads artists comments 4.) That fairness does not exist and trolling and bullying reign supreme - the mods seeming to do most of it (in my experience).

Now, I have no desire to completely stop posting here. I have friends here who I enjoy talking to and seeing their wonderful creations. I also, on occasion, create something I love to share with everyone and I know I'd regret leaving this site. I also feel that, if I do, the blockheads who run this site and the morons who don't bother to READ and LOOK at stuff - like the mods - would win. I'm not going to let that happen. MEANWHILE, I shall resize Real First Kiss II and post it elsewhere, then let you all know the address.
